but our thinking is to release it in stages, with the first being a Beta version for AlertMe devices within the next month or so.
Hi Compan - has there been any progress?

Cheers

Re: AlertMe have been in contact!

Got this response from AlertMe: I am sorry to hear that for whatever reason your hub has begun to flash red and not respond. Unfortunately as the AlertMe platform has now been decommissioned this also includes all our support tools as well so I am unable to remotely diagnose your issue. If a reboot ...

Re: AlertMe have been in contact!

Nothing is working anymore - pressing key fobs doesn't trigger anything, some door sensors used to trigger a sound when activated, some SmartPlugs switched on or off based on rules - all that stopped working. This is obviously something even AlertMe wasn't aware off as I have an email from them expl...

Re: AlertMe have been in contact!

My AlertMe hub has stopped working since yesterday. I started flashing red and nothing is working anymore. It's still flashing red ...

Anyone else seeing this as well?

Re: What other security/ alarm systems are you considering?

The Nest Secure looks really good; I especially like the door/window/motion sensors; great idea to combine motion and door/window sensors into one; also like the kill button and the light feature; only thing is it's still not Homekit compatible although Nest said back in JUN it is “open to supportin...

Re: AlertMe Devices and the XBee

Thanks roobarb! - I've checked out at Farnell's and Digi's websites; I found the XB24CAWIT-001 you chose and noticed that this is an 802.15.4 variant; I know 802.15.4 is the basis of ZigBee but would it not be better to chose a ZigBee variant as this is what AlertMe is using? For example, there are:...

Re: AlertMe Devices and the XBee

Can you tell me what XBee module you bought? I wouldn't mind playing around with one but want to be sure I buy the right one ...

Re: AlertMe have been in contact!

Good to see you're making progress :-)

I use my plugs as repeaters only so I'm more interested in the alarm sensors (motion and door window). Hope they will work with XBee eventually ...

Re: AlertMe have been in contact!

Wouldn’t the AlertMe system still work even when their servers are switched off? I mean it should still work as it is now except I won’t get any notifications away from home and I won’t have an UI to change settings or check battery levels etc.

Re: Alertme been in contact!

For the techy-minded, there is actually a way that you can continue to use all of your devices without an AlertMe hub... There's a guy called James Saunders who has written an open source simulation of the Hub . Interesting - I've been looking for alternative hubs and came across this: https://stor...

Re: Alertme been in contact!

I have not received anything from AlertMe. Interesting question about the credit balance. Mine is over £100 but I guess you could argue we had the system without paying any monthly charge for years now. Anyway, I'm gutted that they decided to shutdown the AlertMe servers. I've had my system since 20...
