Re: Internal Siren

Looking at the other items for sale for this person, they include a British Gas Safe and Secure hub so I'm afraid it is British Gas - no idea if it will work with Alertme or not.

Cheers,
Coops.

Re: SmartEnergy & British Gas remote heating control

Fair question, I just got rid of my Alertme System to get the S&S one! The devices are largely compatible switching them across (I've had the odd issue with a couple of devices just not playing ball). Maybe someone else can answer the question - you can see how the two systems can come together and ...

Re: SmartEnergy & British Gas remote heating control

Hi timg, I've got the new BG S&S Hub up and working and having the new heating controller installed tomorrow. I've been told you need two hubs but that they are working on combining them, not sure about the smart energy but you can control the smartplugs via the Safe & Secure so I'm assuming its the...

Re: British Gas - Safe & Secure

One area where I have noticed a difference in the capabilities of the UI is that on the Alertme hub I was able to setup the system to automatically arm the hub when no-one was at home, I can't see how to do that on the S&S hub.

Cheers,
Al.

Re: British Gas - Safe & Secure

HIya - will post a fuller reply in a day or so, but her's a quick update. I have found that 1 device won't register properly with the S&S hub (a motion detector) but all the others work fine, not sure whjy this one doesn't a reset might fix it so leave that with me. I have noticed that whe I used an...

British Gas - Safe & Secure

Well my Alertme system finally bit the dust, I was having so many problems with it not arming, losing contact with sensors etc. I bit the bullet and bought the British Gas Safe & Secure system and thought it worth sharing a bit about my experience. In summary, I'm pretty pleased and overall think I'...

Re: Going back to original security system!

Can barely bring myself to post their latest response when I challenged for more detail, as I know it will only serve to fan the flames but here goes.... " I sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience caused. Please note that the new user interface is due for release next summer, ho...

Re: Going back to original security system!

Oh and for any of you who wonder what next I noticed that Pilgrim Beart tweeted "pilgrimbeart Looking forward to talking about our new babies Smart Heating and Smart Data at HEAT'11 this pm." And finally, maybe this is what happened to the boiler controller.... http://www.cambridgenetwork.co.uk/news...

Re: Going back to original security system!

So, had a reply from customer services today in respect of my question " I note that British Gas have now released their own branded version of AlertMe which has a large number of the missing features that I and others were promised. I bought this system in good faith can you please confirm how I am...

Re: Going back to original security system!

I've emailed AlertMe support to ask what this means for us AlertMe customers, not holding out much in terms of expectations but will report back none the less.

Re: Going back to original security system!

This is so frustrating, I'm really disappointed as they could have told us all this, but also I'm annoyed for myself for believing in what Alertme told us on the forums and assuming that all good things would come to those that wait..... Not sure what to do now, the system they are offering looks ex...
